Luesa graduated from Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, CA in October 2009 and from State Fair Community College with Associates degree of Arts in December 2012. She transferred to William Woods University to complete her Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems in May 2014. She updates her web development, leadership and social media skills weekly with on line courses.
While working full time in the retail industry and attending State Fair Community College, she was honored with two consecutive years of scholarships from the Professional Business Women of Sedalia, Missouri. She was a member of the Trio Steps program (Student Support Service Program) at State Fair Communality College.
In January 2013 Luesa transferred to William Woods University to complete her degree in just a year and a half. While attending William Woods University she worked part-time at the University’s IT department as an Information Technology Intern. She worked with students and faculty in computer resets, consolidating electronic advisory, providing user support for students, faculty and staff. Luesa was a member of the LEAD (Leading, Educating, achieving, Developing) awards program. She was a member of the Student Website Advancement Team (SWAT). SWAT is a student ran company in the MIS department at William Woods University that re/designs, develops, maintains, and analyses websites for companies around the Fulton, Missouri area. Luesa was involved in several projects while attending William Woods University. A few highlights are Data Base Design; she built a data base for a food pantry involving tables, queries, forms, macros and switchboard. She was designed and built a website for Nails Ink of Sedalia, Missouri. (This website was self-taught) Luesa worked on a group project setting up SharePoint as a company. She was honored for making the dean’s list for three semesters and a Distinguished Scholar from the MIS department.
In November 2013 Luesa started an internship for Osage Industries as a System Web Administrator/Marketing Assassinate. She worked with implementing the new website, assisted in training over 50 sales reps on login and uploading of new procedures. While analyzing the new website using visitor track, google analytics and other analytic software to provide new marketing leads for Osage Industries. Luesa provided technical support for staff and sales reps on website information.
In July of 2014 Luesa looked towards starting her own business in website development. She has an eye for quality and loves a new challenged. Luesa has a straight forward approach to the solution of a situation. With her leadership skills that she has acquired over the years and education in designing websites she looks forward to any new challenge.
